Three hectares of woodland sit within the larger the larger Town Park. Designated as an Ancient and Semi Natural Woodland as well as a Site of Biological Importance with evidence that it has existed since 1600. Ancient Semi-Natural woodland composed largely of trees, shrubs and ground flora that have grown through the process of natural regeneration, stump growth and coppicing. Combined with the park itself, there is lots to do for all ages.
