Planted in 2000, Smith's Wood lies adjacent to several other woods planted as part of the National Forest - Poppy Wood, Stafford's Wood and St. Bride's Wood. Smith's Wood features a fishing pond where wildfowl can be seen and bulrushes make a spectacular display. In spring the blossom is pretty. From the top of the hill there is a lovely view encompassing all the surrounding National Forest woodlands with Robin Wood visible on the far horizon. Access is by stile.
