Pipers Hill

Pipers Hill Wood consists of no more than 100 trees/saplings and is set on the side of a private road. However a public right of way crosses the road and passes one edge of the wood. Broadleaf trees have been planted. It is a haven for wildlife and I saw several heath spotted orchids growing in the long grass. Best access is from Gaydon Road where there is a small layby. Face away from the layby and taken the gated footpath on the right and follow the field and wood edge to the private road.
