Kirkleatham Wood

Elder berries and wild plums (sloes) are found in various areas of the woods. this is a plantation wood where the trees were planted in rows in the late 1700's to 1800's. there are mushrooms in various parts of the woods and wild garlic, near the Old Hall Stables. there is a large industrial chemical site 1 mile away so wash all products prior to consumption.
