Spruces and larches are the predominant species. Just off the shore line across from Knockninney Quay lies the Upper Lower Erne - Naan Island. The conifers were harvested from this island in 2003 and it is re-establishing with native broadleaves. This forest is located on the Mullynaherb Road, off the B108 Derrylin to Kinawley Road.
