Burnfoot Plantation

Burnfoot is largely a commercial conifer plantation. However, some of the burns and forest edges support a few deciduous trees. The plantation is on a west facing slope above the Border River Esk. Areas of the plantation are of larch, providing excellent colour in both spring and autumn. Some clearer areas of the upper slopes of this woodland provide stunning views across the Esk Valley.
