A small, compact mixed wood on the corner of Stoney Lane and Stanifield Lane. Access is half-way down Stoney Lane through a small opening. The wood comprises Hawthorn, Rowan (Mountain Ash), Hazel, Ash, Apple (from an old orchard) and an invasion of Himalayan Balsam. Privately owned by the adjacent farm, a cleared grassy pathway meanders its way for about 300 metres from Stoney Lane to Stanifield. The central area of the woodland looks quite wet and boggy, and is quite inaccessible.
