Whitehill Colliery Woodland

Whitehill Colliery was an operational deep mine colliery until 1965. Woodland planting took place in the spring of 2003 & 2004. Today the wetlands buzz with dragonflies & invertebrates & the mature woodland is home to many migratory birds species
