Westrigg Bing

From east to west follow A89 from Armadale to Blackridge at at junction for B718 turn left & follow road underneath railway bridge with entrance to wood on left-hand side. With limited off road parking at entrance. Westrigg Bing is a young mixed woodland on what was an old mine. With lots of open grassland with peat bogs. Footpath forms part of Cycle Route 75 Airdrie to Edinburgh. Well used by locals. At this time of the year there are lots of fungi and blackberries. Lovely autumn colours too.
