Vinehall Forest

The Forestry Commision owns this wood and it is composed of several adjacent woods. The area has been wooded since the 19th century at least, when some of the woods had other names. It's main entrance is accessible to bikes, buggies and wheelchairs and has a tarmac track/road. It is possible to get off the main track and take some dappled earth pathways through mixed, open woodland. There is an interesting mixture of plantation and broadleaf trees.
