The site off Pool Lane has been developed under the Mersey forest with tree plantings that are designed to produce a native woodland/grassland amenity. The scattered woodland, orchard, and meadow creates a mosaic effect for many species of wildlife-particularly butterflies, dragonflies and goldfinches. A path runs around the base of the mound and winds up to the top where there are benches and good views of the local area. Access and parking can be found next to the church at Ince village.
