Important - please note that the north-western third of Trench Wood is in private ownership and is NOT accessible to the public. Only the eastern section of Trench Wood (within the boundary visible on our interactive map) is owned by the Wildlife Trust, and therefore open to the public. When visiting the Wildlife Trust reserve, please respect the boundary and do not stray into the neighbour's private land. Trench Wood is a large section of the ancient woodland near Sale Green, south-east of Droitwich. Home to tall herbs, grassland plants, orchids and butterflies such as the white admiral, white-letter hairstreak and brown hairstreak.
