BURNLEY BOROUGH COUNCIL WOOD
The largest and most popular park in Burnley. It has a long history as a private estate, with much of its 18th century by Charles Towneley. The Park and Towneley Hall were purchased by Burnley Corporation in 1902 and have been in public use ever since. A nature trail runs through the woodland Sculptures of various woodland and mythical creatures emerging from the trees can be found on the trail.
