Thorpe Wood Local Nature Reserve

Thorp Wood Nature Reserve is off the Castle Eden Walkway and is accessed by steps leading to the top of the wood. After 100 yards or so it descends by another series of steps down to the pond at the bottom where there is a muddy stream. Good walking, dog walking and a very family friendly walks providing a diversion back on to the Castle Eden Walkway via a steep series of steps. Deer can occasionally be seen in the wood
