The Spinnies

The Spinnies is a nature reserve on the Ogwen estuary. The combination of trees, ponds and lagoon supports a wealth of birdlife including kingfishers, teals, greenshanks, grebes and herons. On the ground, there are fungi, orchids and snowdrops. These and a huge variety of other plant species attract songbirds and several butterfly species. There are two hides for birdwatchers. The reserve is partly accessible for disabled visitors.
