The Spinney is a long narrow stretch of trees running along the full length of West Avenue which runs parallel to Green Lane, Castle Bromwich. Mainly broadleaved mature trees make up this wood. For people living in West Avenue it makes a natural living noise break from the busy Green Lane and a lovely outlook. The Spinney is a remaining remnant of the Forest of Arden.
