The Sanctuary

The Sanctuary is Knowsley Village's largest community wood at over 15 ha. It is a broadleaf woodland, planted in 1990s, framing extensive meadowland. There are also two mature woodland blocks, Little Wood Lodge (formerly part of Little Wood before M57 built) and Admiral's Belt. A through-route runs from Flukers Brook Lane (north) to Knowsley Lane (south). Knowsley Council is keen to engage site users/local residents to improve the wood for wildlife/public.
