The Dale

This forest is on the opposite side of the road from Forsinain Forest a few miles outside Forsinard. Parking in layby close to site. Forest is mainly conifers with some mixed woodland. Wide tracks throughout which wind up into forest, and as they do so you are rewarded with fantastic views looking across Sutherland. Great place for birds and wild flowers. At entrance there is a picnic table beside a pond. The forest is well worth a visit.
