Swadlincote Woods

Lying at the heart of Swadlincote and within walking distance of Woodville and Church Gresley, Swadlincote Woods combine woodland, wetlands and meadowland in an urban setting. Surfaced paths make this an accessible wood with the added benefits of a sensory sculpture trail, good parking (open 10 am to 8.45 pm during the summer), a children's playground and toilet facilities. The wetland is home to wildfowl including coots and moorhens with ponds fringed with bulrush and irises.
