Though a relatively small woodland Stenna Woods is (almost) perfectly formed with a variety of habitats, good access and benefiting from the facilities of the adjoining Fletcher Moss Botanical Gardens. A visit to Stenna Woods is best combined with a walk along the nearby River Mersey and through the bordering wildflower meadow. Perhaps one of the best features (for those with children anyway) are the numerous mounds and fallen trees which can be scrambled on.
