Stafford Castle (2)

This site is depicted as 3 woods on the VisitWoods website but all 3 are interconnected so 3 in 1?! Centred on Stafford Castle, the site is full of history going back to 1100 AD. Although the woods, surrounding the Castle & motte & bailey, are much more recent & not even considered ancient woodlands. There are several trails through the site with many historic & wildlife focused information boards. Also benches to rest as you climb the ramparts to admire the views from the top! Well-liked by dogs.
