Craig Goch is an area of ancient beech and oak wood within the Sirhowy Valley Country Park. The woodland floor is covered with bluebells in springtime. It is home to redstarts, warblers and flycatchers. The Country Park itself is popular with walkers and cyclists. Along the Sirhowy River, there meadows in which there are bats, kingfishers, herons, butterflies, moths and wild flowers. You can reach the park by bus (No 56), bike (from Route 47) or car (look for the brown signs).
