This is a lovely little wood on Solway shore, owned and managed by the NTS, offering a network of well signed paths through broadleaved woodland. A linear path connects Rockcliffe village to Kippford, both villages provide parking and excellent access. There are frequent Ranger-led walks in the summer. There's a wide range of habitats, with butterflies, songbirds, wildfowl, beautiful woodland flowers and gorgeous autumn colours, as well as history and great views, from the Mote of Mark.
