Queens Park (1)

This Victorian park, lying close to the city centre, has benefitted from heritage lottery funding, and this investment is evident in the level of maintenance, the excellent playground and new cafe/toilet facilities. The park itself lies on a hillside and anyone wishing to keep to more level ground whilst gaining access the woodland path by the river, or to just visit the cafe, would be advised to use the Spar Rd car park. The higher slopes provide fine views across the trees to the Town Hall.
