On a slope adjacent to the railway this delightful woodland and parkland is on a sandstone outcrop with gorse, pine and deciduous trees. Visit in the spring to catch the best display of flowers on the gorse, in the summer to lie on the grass and gaze up at the pine trees, in the autumn to collect blackberries and in the winter to enjoy the crisp frost and snow on the gorse.
