Polbeth and Parkhead

Mixed woodland located off the A71 between Livingston and West Calder in the village of Polbeth. The woods are situated behind playing fields. Some parking by entrance. Route waymarked with wide footpaths & boardwalk in wet areas which link up with circular route to West Calder. Footpath descends under railway bridge and follows Harwood Water. Some ancient trees as well as new plantings. Popular route with walkers and dog walkers. Some gradients and steps en route but well worth visiting.
