Philips Park Local Nature Reserve

Once the estate of the Philips family, the park covers 50 acres and provides a great deal of interest for nature lovers, families or those just looking for fresh air and exercise. A good deal of work has been done to improve paths and develop mountain bike trails, which enable the visitor to follow a tree trail down by Bradleys Brook or continue further to find wildlife ponds and explore Drinkwater Park and the Irwell Sculpture Trail; providing a real getaway from the nearby conurbations.
