Parkfield, Billy Lows Lane

This is a wonderful wood surrounded by wonderful parkland. The wood is mainly oak with some ash, sycamore, horse chestnut, pine, hazel, holly, ivy and more. An unsurfaced path winds through the middle and surfaced paths (good for wheelchairs and buggies) run around its edges. The huge Cedar of Lebanon at the main gate, pond cherry trees, rhododendron and other plant give a Victorian feel to park/wood. Good colours in autumn and summer, you'll want to come back again and again.
