Paddockmuir Wood

The forest can accessed by a bumpy track that passes directly past Gallowflat farm. From the parking area there is a track that can be followed to the east for a short distance although there are some fallen trees blocking part of it, beyond this short area of track this is very much an off the beaten track forest. The forest is full of deciduous trees, during a summer visit views are restricted but in the winter there would be extensive views over the reeds to the river.
