New England Wood (1)

New England Wood has been woodland since the mid nineteenth century if not longer. It is 25 acres of broadleaf wood that includes hazel, beech, ash and sweet chestnut and a stream runs through it. It can be reached across fields from Cuckfield and some of the footpaths can get very muddy after rain. It is not suitable for wheelchairs or buggies.
