Named Natterer's Wood after the Natterer's bat that hibernates in old chalk caves nearby, this site was created with the help of volunteers who started planting trees in 2001 making this a fairly young woodland. Not only does this site boast impressive views of Bury St Edmunds, there is an abundance of habitats on site. You'll find that there is a mixture of regenerating woodland, rough grassland, a hay meadow and a pond all of which makes for an interesting walk
