Formerly an old alkali waste tip Mucky Mountains is still on the edge of an industrial site but you'd never know it! Part of the Sankey Way, Mucky Mountains has a whole host of interesting flora such as the locally rare Pyramidal Orchid and Quaking Grass. You may also be lucky enough to see foxes and other wildlife. It's an excellent countryside retreat which deserves a visit!
