Middridge Road Woodland, Rope Moor

This wood is a narrow strip of wood at the edge of the town and is used by joggers as well as dog walkers. It is part of a walkway around the town and according to one local resident extends for some seven to eight miles around the town. Bluebells and ransom (wild garlic) are trying to get established but only one or two clumps are present. Peaty ground and can be a little muddy in places but not too bad!
