NATIONAL TRUST WOOD
A small, fenced wood of mature and young trees circled by a high dry-stone wall - all designed to protect the trees from grazing sheep and cattle. Some young trees beyond the perimeter of the wood are also enclosed for their protection. The wood is close to Malham Tarn and the larger wood surrounding the Field Studies Centre.
