This wooded area/ reserve runs along the sides of the River Bollin , mature woodland with well maintained paths from the car park . There are 2 areas of woodland within the park Sycamore wood and Tytherington Wood as well as a Butterfly Garden and Wildflower Meadow Macclesfield Riverside Park is owned by Cheshire East Borough Council. The site which was previously agricultural land was turned into a country park in the 1980s. There is a large area of wild flower rich grassland which is grazed by the Bollin Valley's traditional breed Longhorn cattle. The site runs along the Bollin River for approximately 2 miles with a level path along the flood plain. There is also a community orchard, picnic sites and free car park which is open at all times. There are toilets which are open from 9am to 4pm most days.
