THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL WOOD
Built in 1829 and originally called Royal Terrace Gardens, this designed landscape was part of Playfair's work to build the 3rd and final phase of Edinburgh's new town. It's original purpose was to provide a pleasant outlook for the houses on Royal Terrace, but today it offers pleasant wooded cover for residents and commuters heading to the central city.
