Little Milford lies on the banks of the Western Cleddau river. This mixed woodland, between Haverfordwest and Milford Haven, incorporates old limekilns and coal mines. Prior to being managed by the National Trust, the wood lost large numbers of oak trees. The Trust is now working hard to reverse this. The river and the woodlands are great places for spotting birds including various ducks and waders. There is a good footpath network from which there are panoramic views along the Cleddau.
