Lewes Downs (Mount Caburn)

Mostly chalk downland with scattered scrub and a small copse of trees. Mount Caburn is a 146 metre high peak with the remains of an Iron Age fort. Visit in the late spring/summer to see burnt-tip orchid, small leaved sweet briar, Adonis and chalk hill blue butterflies.
