Kilearnan Wood

These woods are situated in the village of Kildonan just off the A897 a few miles from Forsinard. Turn into road signposted for Kildonan Village Hall and railway station with woods a short distance off main road. Mixed mature woodlands with lots of Scots Pine. Wide grass tracks in parts. Saw a eagle on my visit to this wood, so that was very special for me. Off road parking close by. On the other side of the road is the River Helmsdale & great views of surrounding hills, quite breathtaking.
