Kenworthy Wood

This wood is right on the edge of the river Mersey, a short stroll away from Chorlton Water Park, and is a feature of the transpennine trail coast to coast cycle trail. I'm sure it would have been perfect for Blackberry picking just a couple of weeks ago! As an urban wood, it is fairly standard and unfortunately is situated right next to the M60 Motorway, the noise of which is noticeable at times. But as a place for the locals to take the dog for a brisk outdoor walk, it is pretty handy.
