The John Muir Country Park provides residents and visitors with a wonderful facility for walking, playing, visiting the beach and observing wildlife. There is ample parking, a public toilet and next door is East Links Family Park where there are Llamas, goats, rare breed pigs, deer a cafe and a miniature railway. The main plantation, on the southern edge of the sand dunes, comprises mainly mature Scots Pines. There are many well made paths, the main one of which is the John Muir Way.
