Named after an itinerant Scotsman who lived in the wood in the 1800s, Jock's Copse is an oasis of nature in an urban setting. It forms part of a 'Cut Countryside Corridor' - a stretch of linked wildlife areas and nature reserves designed to encourage flora and fauna in the area and provide a circular walk for nature lovers. The best seasons are autumn, when the oak leaves change colour, and spring, when the bluebells and yellow primroses are in bloom. Main access is from Boltons Lane.
