Holly Wood Nature Reserve is a lovely 5 hectares of mixed broadleaf woodland and wet meadow. The reserve is accessed from Whitecrest. This is a really nice place to go for a walk or to do a bit of exploring but make sure you are wearing appropriate footwear as the paths are unsurfaced and quite wet in parts. Work is currently being done on the reserve to create a newly surfaced footpath, new entrance fencing and gateway, the creation of a wildflower area and a pond.
