Hillfield Park

The park has existed for decades but in 1984 a long embankment was made from soil dug from an adjoining factory estate. At this time much tree planting was carried out. Now there is an unsurfaced footpath on the embankment which provides a rather lovely walk. Both broadleaf and coniferous trees were planted and also included gorse and lots of other shrubs. There is plenty of birdlife and wild flowers.
