Highfield Woodland

A small mature wood bounded by 1970s housing development. Access is from Costessey Way off Melrose Drive through a narrow opening. A mix of oak, birch, beech, willow and hazel. A stream runs along one edge of the wood towards a small pond. Pathways tend to be muddy in wet weather but the wood is open and accessible, principally providing an amenity woodland for local residents - short walks, dog walking and biking. On street car parking but please be considerate to local residents.
