Hameldon

Half coniferous half broad leaved with beech and birch. There is a stream running through it and interesting rocks from earlier quarrying activities I think. Lots of fungus in autumn especially birch polypore. Limited parking next to the Burnley road entrance. A tantalising private wood lies beyond the fence at the back.
