Guisborough Forest is a great wood for a wide variety of activities and rises steeply from the area around Guisborough up onto the North York Moors with a high point of High Cliff Nab - a well known landmark giving magnificent views on a fine day over the town and to the sea beyond. Good walking country with trails to Roseberry Topping and a little further to Captain Cook's Monument. Within the forest are many of Steve Iredale's chainsaw sculptures, childrens play areas.
