This atmospheric oak woodland is located on a steep south facing slope of the River Honddu, just within the Brecon Beacons National Park. It adjoins the Strawberry Cottage Wood SSSI, noted for its two mature wild service trees, one of Britain's rarest native tree species. You're sure to see a variety of colourful woodland flowers, and interesting fauna such as flycatchers, redstarts and all three species of woodpecker.
