Great Langdale - Skelwith Meadows

You'll pass through this wood if you're following the Cumbria Way to the west of Skelwith Bridge, just to the south of the River Brathay. This wood is on the banks of the river, and you can visit Skelwith Force waterfall from here, which is a lovely spot. Close to Ambleside, it's a nice little escape, and a good addition to any walk in the area, especially the circular walk around Loughrigg Tarn.
