Great House Farm Woods

This broadleaf wood (also called Old Hanging Wood) is situated immediately north of the railway and is half a mile east of Little Chalfont village. Already a pleasant place to walk, a new bridleway through the wood was recently created by the local community, allowing riders to cross from Chorleywood to Little Chalfont without having to ride on the A404. Listen for the calls of the blackbird, tit, robin, yellowhammer and wren; and you might even see buzzards nesting in the trees.
